Positive January Barometer Supports 2012 Gains – February Opens Strong


Tomorrow’s blog will be decorated with a green “BULLISH” icon and across-the-board Market Probability readings in excess of 60%. On the First Trading Day of February the Dow and S&P have been up 8 of the last 9 years, registering average gains over the 9 years of 0.55% and 0.73% respectively for the day. NASDAQ has been up 7 years straight with an average gain of 0.84%. This phenomenon is well documented in the Stock Trader’s Almanac 2012 on page 84.
