Jeffrey A. Hirsch: As of January 25th the S&P 500 is posting its best start to the year since 1987. It appears quite likely our January Barometer will post solid gains for 2012. On the close of the markets on January 31 we will send out a Subscriber Alert with our official January Barometer reading for 2012. The January Barometer states that as the S&P goes in January, so goes the year.
