Retail Sales Post Gain, Business Mood Improves (XRT, IWM)


retail salesRetail sales for November rose less than expected while NFIB Small Business Index improves

Retail sales rose +0.2% for November, a smaller gain than the expected 0.5% and previous 0.6% as the all important retail sector (NYSEARCA:XRT) moves into the busy and critical Christmas shopping season.

The NFIB small business index rose for the third straight month as small businesses, (NYSEARCA:IWM) felt better about future business conditions as labor market conditions were expected to improve along with better retail sales and better expectations for the future.
