Weiss Ratings throws down the gauntlet. After giving Standard & Poor’s “the nod” for taking an important, first step in fairly rating U.S. sovereign debt, Weiss renewed The Weiss Ratings Challenge, asking the dominant rating agencies to take a closer look, suggesting they have yet to give investors a realistic picture of U.S. credit.
