ANF, PLL, GPRO, UFS Among Charts to Watch

It was another bad day on Wall Street on Thursday as there was a huge reversal that sent some of stocks straight down. So, we’re going to focus on the short side as the indices looks very vulnerable here.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF) is one of the Boxer Short swing trades that we put out in the last couple days. On Wednesday it dropped 2.22. After a massive topping formation, long uptrend, multiple tops at the same level, it broke hard, right back to resistance at the trend line and moving averages, and then plunged before forming what looks like a bear flag. It looks like this stock is headed down toward the 48 – 50 zone, which is the next target for ANF.

Gen-Probe Inc. (GPRO) has been in a nice declining channel. We’ve been bearishing this one since early June when it was trading over 70. It eventually got down to the low 50s, bounced up to the declining tops line, and is now forming a little bear wedge. It stayed down 1.67, reversing 3.00 off its high, and it could crack below 55, or so. This stock could see a move down into the high 40s.

Pall Corp. (PLL) broke a top in the 55 range and kept sliding quickly. After bouncing, pulling back hard and bouncing again, it had a big wedge pattern. It can easily be stopped above the 49 – 50 zone, but if it fails here and rolls over, there could be a test of the 41- 42 zone, which is the next target. Looking at the long-term pattern, if it is taken this stock could very well see the mid to high 30s.

Domtar Corporation (UFS) is another stock that we put out that bounced hard. After rolling over hard in July and August, it bounced, pulled back, and bounced again. But on Wednesday, it snapped down 3.00 off the high to close down 2.35, perhaps at key level for resistance, but it failed that Wednesday. The wedge at 73.08 could mean some more down side. The next target is set at 68, but if it breaks there, it could see 64, perhaps even as low as 60 before it’s over.
