CLNE, HITK, IPSU, SZYM Among Charts to Watch

The market is still under pressure, but many of the stocks that we have been following are doing well. So we’ll take a look at some of those.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (CLNE) had a very big day on Tuesday, up 1.96, or 15%, on 7 1/4 million shares traded. That was by far the biggest volume in more than ninety days. It’s right up against lateral price resistance in the 15 1/2 range. That may be tested as early as Wednesday. It actually got up to 15.45 and backed off. If it gets through that the next target will be up around the 17 1/2 range. It was certainly a strong start today and possibly a trend changer.

Hi Tech Pharmacal Co. Inc. (HITK) is looking real good, up 1.44, or nearly 5% on Tuesday. It was right up against the high from last week, which is the highest level this stock has reached in many years. If it breaks through lateral price resistance it will accelerate to the upside. The next target for this stock is in the 36 range.

Imperial Sugar Co. (IPSU) has been doing very well, and after consolidating, following the big run up in May and early June going from 12 1/2 to about 22, this stock exploded out of it on Tuesday, up 1.81 to 23.05, or 8 1/2%. The top of the channel says this stock could be a 30 dollar stock. On an intermediate basis the target is set at 26-26 1/2.

Solazyme, Inc. (SZYM) has been acting great. It continues to thrust, having moved from 20 to 27 1/2 in the last two weeks. Tuesday was significant in that the highs the last four sessions were taken out with a pop, and Tuesday it was up another 1.30, or 5%. This stock could extend, so look for something in the 29-30 zone short-term.
