Genomic stocks seem to be overcoming concern over government budget and grant cuts. The 800-pound gorillas like Agilent (A) and Illumina (ILMN) continue to put forth impression quarterly numbers, which lends support to the entire sector. Our trio has also performed well, and while we along with Almanac Investor Editor, Jeffrey Hirsch, agree it is prudent to take some profits, they still seem to offer superior reward/risk parameters to the highflyers (A, ILMN, TMO, LUMX, PACB, etc.).
