Stocks to Watch: PPL, China Electric Motor and RC2
PPL Corp. unveiled plans to offer at least 80 million shares and $750 million of equity units to raise funds to repay part of a EUR3.6 billion ($5.9 billion) bridge loan. Shares fell 3.8% to $24.90.
China Electric Motor Inc., which recently said it would miss filing deadlines for its 2010 results, said the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating whether it or any of its employees violated the law.
Calumet Specialty Products Partners LP said it and its Calumet Finance Corp. unit plan to sell $375 million in eight-year notes through a private placement, with the proceeds being used to repay a senior secured term loan facility.
Provider of packaging to food and beverage companies Graphic Packaging Holding Co. unveiled plans to sell at least 47 million shares, seeking proceeds to buy back stock from one of its largest holders and acquire Sierra Pacific Packaging Inc. for $53.5 million.…
